Gomesa crispa

Name: Gomesa crispa (Orchidaceae)

Flower

Gomesa is a genus of small orchids originating from Brazil, with flattened pseudobulbs.

Gomesa crispa is cool growing, requiring humid shady positions to flower. In the autumn, each pseudobulb produces one to two racemes with hundreds of small yellow flowers. It tends to climb out of its pot after several years and is best repotted. Can also be slab cultured but requires plenty of moisture during the growing season.
