English Wallflower

Name: Erysimum cheiri (Brassicaceae)
Common Name: English Wallflower

Orange

English wall flower originates not from England but from the eastern Mediterranean. Likewise Siberian wallflower (E. × marshallii) is not from Siberia but a hybrid first raised in England!

The very fragrant flowers with yellow, orange, pink, red or purple hues are produced in early Spring, lasting into the Summer if dead headed. This easy to grow hardy perennial will self seed and is a perfect addition to the border, cottage, or wildflower garden.
